DMCAForce at AVN 2026: Collaboration, Protection, and the Future of Creator Rights
AVN 2026 was an incredible whirlwind of energy, ideas, and genuine connection. Representing DMCAForce, we had the chance to meet creators at every stage of their journey—from first-timers navigating the industry to seasoned performers who’ve built lasting brands. Across the expo floor, one theme kept resurfacing: protecting creative work is no longer optional—it’s essential.
Meeting Creators Where They Are
What made AVN 2026 stand out was the openness. Creators spoke candidly about the realities of piracy, lost revenue, and the emotional toll of seeing hard work stolen and redistributed. These conversations weren’t abstract—they were personal, practical, and urgent. Hearing them firsthand reinforced why creator-first protection matters.
A Powerful Piracy Panel
A major highlight was hosting a piracy panel that brought together creators, industry experts, and legal professionals for an honest, solutions-focused discussion. Panelists included Nova Hawthorne, Ellie James, The Famous Mommy, Sara Loverays, and Mikayla Miller, alongside two lawyers specialising in intellectual property and Reba Rocket from Takedown Piracy.
The conversation was frank and passionate. From understanding how piracy networks operate to clarifying what legal tools actually work, the panel underscored a shared mission: keeping money in creators’ pockets and pushing back against the rampant piracy that threatens livelihoods across the industry.
Industry Alignment, Not Competition
One of the most striking takeaways from AVN 2026 was the level of alignment across the room. Even with competitors present, the focus remained on collaboration, transparency, and actionable solutions. From daytime discussions on the expo floor to evening networking, the message was clear—creator protection is a shared responsibility. When the industry works together, everyone benefits.
Looking Ahead
DMCAForce left AVN inspired, energised, and more committed than ever to helping creators safeguard their content, revenue, and careers. Events like AVN remind us that real progress happens when voices come together, knowledge is shared, and solutions are built collaboratively.
If we met or spoke during the show, we’d love to continue the conversation. The fight against piracy doesn’t end at the expo—and neither does our commitment to creators.
